About us

Things you may not know about RP4

We are the only compliance provider that offers support 7 days a week, 365 days a year

We are led by qualified and GDC registered dentists who have real experience of running dental practices

We continue to support individual dentists as well as the whole profession when the Regulators (GDC or CQC) act disproportionately

We were the founder members and financial backing for ConfiDental helpline and we achieved charity status

We provide everything you need including EXPERT Legal and HR support

RP4 is not the same as the other CQC compliance platforms.

  • RP4 was founded by Keith Hayes, a dentist for 45+ years.
  • Keith has worked in general practice in both NHS and fully private practice as a partner and a sole trader and now as a director of RightPath4 Limited. He has also been the Clinical Director of a Corporate and a compliance providing organisation. He has also been a clinical demonstrator and tutor at the Royal London Hospital as well as an international lecturer on preventive and minimal intervention techniques publishing work on prevention of caries in highly vulnerable groups.
  • Keith has acted as a regulatory developer for the CQC and whilst not an employee of the CQC, the RP4 system is widely regarded as being the ‘blueprint’ provider.
  • Because we have seen a great many dental professionals experiencing very anxious periods with CQC, GDC or NHSE scrutiny, Keith was a founder member of ConfiDental helpline and RP4 was its original sponsor. He was appointed as a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry.
  • You may be aware of Keiths activity in continuing to challenge regulators where they are disproportionate or less than transparent.
  • RP4 spends much of its resources supporting individuals who find themselves in professional difficulty with the regulators. Much of our work is of course not seen by other colleagues, but we pledge to continue to support individuals and charitable organisations who work for our profession.
  • The team at RP4 has expanded to include younger dental experts and now includes several dental consultants who can advise you.
  • RP4 does not seek to trap you into any unfair contracts and its members will always know that they may come and go, but as members they will always have our 24/7 expert support.
  • We would like to welcome you to RP4 to allow us to help you too as a fellow professional.

Company Director

Many of you know me already from GDPUK. I qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1977. I have been a wet fingered dentist for over 30 years as well as teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates. I have been the Clinical Director of a Dental Corporate as well as the appointed practice supervisor and a clinical mentor by the NHS and the GDC.

The CQC invited me to play a part in regulatory development as well as performing many CQC inspection visits, and as accompanying clinical adviser. I quickly realised that there is a real need for a simple understanding of exactly what the CQC want to be confident about and RP4 is here to help you demonstrate this.

Diana Hayes & our office dog Henna

Director

I have been married to Keith for 39 years and also worked with him as his nurse, practice manager and recently editing the RP4 comprehensive system. My background is as a Legal Executive, but I like to think I am the person who has my feet firmly on the ground and looking at practices from the patient’s perspective. Many of you know that I often accompany Keith on practice visits if these are for our new clients. I have a much better memory than Keith and he can’t cook or iron either, so I think we make a pretty good team! I hope you invite us to visit you soon.

Anna Hayes

Admin executive & Director

Qualified by experience I am from a medical family. My experience is in health and social care. I run the RP4 office and work closely with my partner Suda who is the code writing genius behind the technical side of RP4.

I occasionally accompany the clinicians when visiting client practices and enjoy meeting new dental teams and helping them use the RP4 system effectively. It’s likely to be me that answers the telephone if you call the office.

Dentist & Team consultant and training adviser

I qualified from The Royal London just over ten years ago. I spend most of my clinical time providing IV sedation and carrying out complex extractions, as well as a limited amount of GDS. I first approached RP4 in 2015, for assistance in setting up my own private practice. I have joined the RP4 Team as a consultant and training adviser. I enjoy mentoring and motivating dental teams to help them develop their practices.

Mike Hill

Clinical Advisor & Practice Inspector

BDS Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1979, PG Cert Practice Appraisal RCS, PG Cert Mentoring RCS Following 2 associateships I opened my own practice in 2002, with the smell of paint still in the air, having finished decorating the waiting room 6 hours before! I have worked with the East Midlands / South Yorkshire Deanery lecturing, mentoring dentists in difficulty, involved with the FD programme and inspecting practices. I worked commercially with practices to ensure their readiness for CQC, which is where I met Keith. Finally joining the CQC as a Specialist Advisor in 2015. I have known Keith for years and admire his breadth of knowledge and experience, innovative ideas and thoughtful and inexpensive delivery. Working again with him will allow me continuing, and greater, scope to achieve my aim of helping practices be as good they can be – and hopefully enjoy doing it.
